The Dutch DJ and producer Martin Garrix will perform on Saturday, November 28, 2026, at Estadio Nacional Soberanía, as part of his Americas Tour. It will be his first performance in Nicaragua and an opportunity for the country’s audience to experience a large-scale electronic music show without leaving Managua.
From Martijn Garritsen to Martin Garrix
Martin Garrix is the stage name of Martijn Gerard Garritsen, a Dutch DJ, producer and composer born in Amstelveen, Netherlands, on May 14, 1996. His interest in electronic music began when he was a child: at age eight he saw Tiësto perform at the opening ceremony of the 2004 Athens Olympic Games and decided he wanted to dedicate himself to music. Later he began practicing mixing and producing on a computer.
His international breakthrough came in 2013, when he was 17 years old. On June 17 of that year, he released “Animals,” an instrumental track with direct energy and a drop designed for the big stage. The song topped electronic music charts and, very quickly, made Garrix one of the most recognizable young figures in the EDM scene. His official website highlights the track’s global impact and its rise to the top of Beatport.
“Animals” was a turning point, but his career did not remain tied to a single formula. Garrix moved from the most intense sounds of big room house to combining festival electronic music with pop-adjacent melodies and vocals. That evolution can be heard in “In the Name of Love,” with Bebe Rexha; “Scared to Be Lonely,” with Dua Lipa; “There for You,” with Troye Sivan; “Ocean,” with Khalid; and “Summer Days,” with Macklemore and Patrick Stump. In 2021, he collaborated with Bono and The Edge of U2 on “We Are the People,” the official song of UEFA EURO 2020.
His catalog also shows a side focused on clubs and festivals. Sentio, IDEM and ORIGO bring together material from that electronic line; the official ORIGO page presented this October 2025 release as a collection that gathers part of his music for clubs and festivals.
A career of stages and self-driven projects
Throughout his career, Garrix has played international stages and festivals such as Tomorrowland, Ultra, Coachella and Lollapalooza. He also built his own platform to release music and support other artists: the label STMPD RCRDS, founded in 2016. In this way, his work spans music production, live performances and the development of new talent.
Another indicator of his reach is DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs, a popularity poll among readers, not an objective measure of musical quality. Garrix has topped the ranking five times: in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2022 and 2024.
What is known about the 2026 Americas Tour
The tour is officially presented as the Martin Garrix Americas Tour. The tour was announced as the largest he had presented up to that point: it would cover 16 cities in North and South America, with Garrix’s full show, large-scale production and new music. The number of cities and the production concept were announced for the tour; that does not mean all the technical details of the setup that will arrive in Managua have already been published.
The artist’s official schedule confirms the Nicaraguan date: Saturday, November 28, 2026, in Managua, Estadio Nacional Soberanía. The calendar also lists Guatemala City on November 13, Cuenca on the 14th, San José on the 27th and, after Managua, performances in Bogotá, Medellín and Lima in December. Garrix’s website links the Managua date to a ticket page.
There is one detail that makes the date especially meaningful for local audiences: Garrix’s announcement invites Nicaragua and says it will be his first performance in the country. For that reason, the concert is not being promoted as just another stop in a market that already forms part of his usual route.
The start time, guest artists, opening order and Managua setlist have not been confirmed in the sources reviewed. Nor should it be assumed he will play the same list as at other concerts: DJs usually adjust their sets depending on the venue, duration and available production.
What it could mean for Nicaragua
The arrival of an artist of this scale can increase Nicaragua’s visibility within the international concert circuit. Having Managua appear on the official page of a continental tour helps present the country as a possible stop for major productions. In addition, the artist placed Managua within a route that also includes other capitals and cities in the region.
Coverage from TN8 and VOS TV captures the interest surrounding the visit. The promoter also told Canal 10 that demand had been strong. These statements and reports help explain the expectation, although they do not amount to a survey of what the entire country thinks.
The practical impact could be felt in several sectors: hotels, restaurants, transport, businesses and services linked to the event’s production. It could also attract attendees from other departments and even nearby countries, who would need to travel and spend time in Managua. That effect is a reasonable possibility, not a confirmed figure: I found no public estimates of attendance, tourism spending or income for the local economy.
Musically, the concert can bring new audiences closer to festival electronic music and give the local scene greater visibility. If the production confirms Nicaraguan artists as openers or guests, that participation would be a direct opportunity for musicians from the country to reach a wider audience. So far, I have not seen a public confirmation of who will open the event.
The first public conversations reflect excitement, but also very concrete questions about how to buy tickets from outside Managua and how to avoid resale. That sample is small and does not represent a national survey; it does suggest that clear information on prices, seating areas and sales points will be important for attendees.
Ticket sales points and ticket buying
The Ticketera Nicaragua directory lets users check its general sales points. Their inclusion in that directory does not confirm that every location has tickets available for this concert. Among the establishments listed are Fátima Peralta at Metrocentro, Galerías and Ciudad Jardín, as well as Súper Express locations in Managua and several departments.
Managua Fátima Peralta: Metrocentro, Galerías and Ciudad Jardín. The published address for Ciudad Jardín is three blocks toward the lake and three blocks west from BANPRO.
Súper Express BelloHorizonte #3: 200 meters east of Pío X church, in front of La Taquiza.
Súper Express La Vicky: Altamira Este, 4th stage, where La Vicky used to be.
Súper Express Plaza El Cortijo, Linda Vista: 90 meters south of the traffic lights, next to the UNO gas station.
Súper Express Plaza El Establo: 100 meters west of the Jean Paul Genie roundabout.
Súper Express Zona Hippos: listed as temporarily closed in Ticketera’s directory.
Súper Express Plaza El Progreso, Veracruz: also listed as temporarily closed.
Other departments Matagalpa: Súper Express Parque Darío, 100 meters south of the southeast side of the park.
Estelí: Súper Express Catedral, behind Nuestra Señora del Rosario Cathedral.
Chinandega: Súper Express El Calvario, one block down from Banco LAFISE.
Juigalpa: Ticketera lists a point of sale in Juigalpa, but its page does not specify the address. It is advisable to check the exact location directly with the ticket office.
Two Flor de Caña locations also appear: Flor de Caña Experiencia, in Galerías Santo Domingo, and Boutique Flor de Caña, in Plaza Familiar, kilometer 7.5 on the road to Masaya. Ticketera’s page indicates that cash is not accepted at those two locations, only card.
Ticketera’s office is in Edificio Plaza Centroamérica, fourth floor, office 401, next to the Centroamérica roundabout. The ticket office also lists the phone number +505 8700-8001. Since some locations are listed as temporarily closed and the directory may change, it is advisable to confirm that the chosen point is specifically selling tickets for this concert before going there.
Expectation, with both feet on the ground
For electronic music fans, Martin Garrix represents the chance to see live a producer with hits that crossed the line between festival music and pop. For Nicaragua, his visit places Managua on a high-profile continental route and could attract regional attention. Expectations are real: good sound, clear organization, and a safe experience will be just as important as the artist’s name. The final experience will also depend on details still pending confirmation: prices and ticket categories, schedules, guest artists, and production details.
Martin Garrix in Nicaragua is already a confirmed date on his official schedule: Saturday, November 28, 2026, at Estadio Nacional Soberanía in Managua. Tickets appear on the Ticketera Nicaragua lineup and its site links to the purchase; even so, I did not find a verifiable public list of prices and ticket categories when reviewing the accessible pages. The safest option is to check the box office directly and use only its official channels.
