Snoop Dogg’s collaboration with Fortnite in November 2024 had two sides worth separating: a repertoire for Festival and a character integrated into Battle Royale. This guide brings together the songs, content and differences between the two offerings. It covers that historical collaboration, not current shop availability.
Which songs Snoop Dogg brought to Festival
The Season 6 announcement distinguished three songs: “Young, Wild & Free,” with Wiz Khalifa and Bruno Mars, was part of the Music Pass; “Drop It Like It’s Hot” and “Beautiful” were offered in the shop. The pass included the LBC ’93 Dogg outfit, distinct from the separately sold Snoop Dogg outfit.
That distinction helps make sense of the campaign’s imagery: the artist’s name did not identify a single package. Songs and appearances had different access routes. Anyone looking to reconstruct the repertoire should start with those three titles, rather than a list of cosmetic items.
What playing those songs meant
The original introduction to Festival explains how it worked: on Main Stage, players selected songs and guitar or keytar, bass, drum and vocal parts to follow the notes. Jam Stage allowed vocal and instrumental loops from Jam Tracks to be combined. Harmonix developed this musical experience.
For a reader coming from rap, the difference is concrete: a playable vocal part and a bass part direct attention to different elements of the same recording. Separating those roles offers a way to explore the arrangement as well as recognize the lead performer. The musical interest lies in what you follow or combine, not just who appears on screen.
Snoop as an opponent and ally in Battle Royale
The official overview published by Nintendo with Epic placed The Doggpound in the former Agency. Defeating Snoop yielded his Mythic Drum Gun and recruited him as an ally. The Boogie Bomb also incorporated “Drop It Like It’s Hot.”
Here, a song reappeared in a different context from Festival’s repertoire. Three labels help organize the collaboration: music track, character and gameplay item. That avoids confusing a combat reward with a song in the pass.
The concert and the pass: two more pieces
According to Epic Games, Snoop and Ice Spice performed in Times Square on November 1, 2024, with a broadcast inside Fortnite. Snoop arrived in Battle Royale the following day.
Progression changed too. The separate announcement about passes established that, from November 2, the Music Pass would progress through experience earned in any eligible Fortnite activity, not just Festival. That connection allowed progress in the musical pass through other experiences, although premium rewards required the corresponding access.
The collaboration makes more sense when followed along that route: performance, songs, customization and an encounter on the map. Each piece served a different function; together, they explain why searching only for the “Snoop Dogg skin” leaves out much of his musical presence.
